Abstract We present “Gesture of In-Kindness,” an interactive art project comprising four household devices that respond in-kind to observers’ gestures. These devices include a fan that blows air at the observer only when the observer is actively blowing his or her own air at the device, as well as a blender that only spins its blades in circles when the observer is spinning his or her body in circles.
